Windows update error 800B0100

OK I ran the Cd version. It booted directly to the memtest. I let it run 37 times and it showed not error. Since I was in Dos there did not appear to be a way to save a screen shot or any log file, but as I stated the memory passed with no errors at all.

So, apart from the failing 500GB disk, it seems that the hardware is in working order. I would replace the 500GB drive when you get the chance though, and don't store anything important on it.

I am going to start fixing the issue(s) and see where I can get to, but as I've said, I am making no guarantees since the corruptions are quite severe. I will do my best though.

Code:
2014-07-02 11:04:08, Error                 CSI    0000011c (F) STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED #2224230# from Windows::Rtl::SystemImplementation::DirectFileSystemProvider::SysCreateFile(flags = (AllowFileNotFound), handle = {provider=NULL, handle=0}, da = (FILE_GENERIC_READ), oa = @0xf4cc40->OBJECT_ATTRIBUTES {s:48; rd:NULL; on:[127]"\SystemRoot\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-ntdll.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_en-us_c489a4bc75d2fa40\ntdll.dll.mui"; a:(OBJ_CASE_INSENSITIVE)}, iosb = @0xf4ccf0, as = (null), fa = 0, sa = (FILE_SHARE_READ|FILE_SHARE_WRITE|FILE_SHARE_DELETE), cd = FILE_OPEN, co = (FILE_NON_DIRECTORY_FILE|FILE_SYNCHRONOUS_IO_NONALERT), eab = NULL, eal = 0, disp = Invalid)
This line implies there is a permission error on that file that is preventing SFC from continuing. Let's repair those permissions.

Hi,

Please run one more SFC scan for me, I don't think that last one ended successfully. We're looking much better now, I think we're nearly there.

Stephen

SFC is looking better now. Can you try Windows Update please, and if that fails, try and run SURT again.

Stephen

You guys are great. Appears the issue is fixed. I downloaded and install 132 updates. Thank You

That's great news, turns out it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. :) Glad we managed to resolve it.
