Hello Eric!

I think we figured out the issue here. The version of KB2976978 you have, is older than the re-release so the files we replaced need to be replaced with the older version. To do this, we need the Windows Update log

[COLOR=9000]Getting the Windows Update log[/COLOR]
Click on :startorb: and type cmd. Right-click on Command Prompt > Run as Administrator
Copy and paste this and press enter:
Code:
copy %windir%\Windowsupdate.log %UserProfile%\Desktop\Windowsupdate.log
Once the command has been finished, attach Windowsupdate.log, which should be found on your Deskop

Hi Cking,

Great news that the DISM is no longer reporting corruption. I tried installing the KB2972978 and it failed. It gave me an error message, but this time the error message is not 800F0831, but rather 80073701. See error message and install history attached.

Thanks again for all your work on this.

Hello Eric,

The SFC scan repaired some corrupt system files, so now try installing KB2976978 again. If the update fails, attach a fresh cbs log again.
