[SOLVED] Windows update failed going back via multiple issues...

Let's get a fresh set of logs:

FRST Registry Search
1. Click your Start button and type in cmd.
2.After you find the Command Prompt, right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
3. Copy and paste the following into the Command Prompt:

reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\COMPONENTS

4. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
5. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
6. Copy and paste Microsoft-Windows-Client into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.
7. When the scan is complete a notepad window will open with the results. Please attach this to your next reply. It is saved on your desktop named SearchReg.txt.

I downloaded the Create Windows 10 installation media from here Mounted the .iso file as my D:\ drive and use the source option but hit the Error: 0x800f081f which maybe relates to the downloaded image not matching my current version including patches so might need to slipstream the image.

Ironically today I got notified of the Win10 2004 update

So it installed the 2004 update then a further two security updates. M$ appstore now works along with calculator and can open images without it complaining I need an app which I can't get from the non existent appstore.

Took a while but think we got there :-)
