Windows Update fails installing updates or OS Repair image after several bluescreens

Please post the *.DMP files first, you can extract them from backups if made! If newer dumps are created, please upload these files to look at.

My fault, OS backup was made long ago of a prior Win 11 release long before Windows Update started failing. Registry errors were usually fixed by installing next Win 11 Cumulative KB release.

DMPs will be re-created upon next bluescreen and I'll upload them, since yesterday WiseCare run cleaned up ~10GB of "useless files", because Update was stack at KB reinstalls.

Hi,

Please do not use (crappy) cleaning tools while trying to fix issues, this because essential information will be lost like the *.dmp files.

Take also a note of the upcoming release of Windows 11 24H2 with new hardware restrictions.

Hi Maxstar,

While I was waiting for the next Bluescreen to collect the dumps, power interruption occurred in our area. The PC shut down, and upon reboot started crashing due to disk errors. Running chkdsk fixed the drive, but DISM found uncorrectable new store errors, possibly due to Registry corruption at the shutdown. SFC scan found no errors. Components scan originally reported dirty hive, but shown no components error, and on 2nd run shown clean hive. Before continuing with OS repair and update issues discussed earlier here, would it be possible to fix these new Update errors caused by the power shutdown (logs attached)? Memory dumps were created, but they reflect disk corruption as the crashes cause after power shutdown, so unrelated to the original issue of the OS unable to repair update or install cumulative updates.

Hi,

Please provide the following files as well. When this system is still unstable these files are absolutely relevant to check. This because fixing corruptions on a unstable system is not the common way to resolve such issues.

Hi Maxstar, I sent the minidumps to you by PM, couldn't find Memory.dmp, may be it depends on OS crash diag settings? All dumps were created right after the power shutdown and my several tries to restart and work on the PC. By now I fixed the SSD corruption, and the PC works stable again. However, running DISM Repairs still shows the same errors. Windows Update still fails to install KB5036980 and Windows Repair image with the same errors reported earlier.
