Hi Itpusher,
Strangely, the services aren't there, at all, yet they show in the FSS log. I've never seen anything like this before so I think it's best to have a look at the registry of those services before we continue:
Command Prompt
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
- Click on the Start
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt- When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
- When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each
regedit /e %SYSTEMDRIVE%\tom982.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services"
- This will create a text file called tom982.txt in the root folder of your main drive (e.g. C:\tom982.txt). Please attach this to your next post.
Tom
Hi Tom,
I have attached the registry file.
Itupsher.
Thank you for that.
Well, the services appear to have gone again.
A couple of possibilities. Either the damage extends beyond a single ControlSet, and a different ControlSet has been loaded, or something has actively/accidentally taken them out, possibly an infection, or they have become corrupt again (why??), or...something a little more complicated.
Please upload one more FSS report. Otherwise we might have to check your other control sets, although it seems a bit of a long shot, hence I would like a little more time to think.
Richard
Hi Richard,
please find included a new FSS report. Are we at the edge of an reinstallation?

Thank you. And not quite yet...
We are on the edge of something quite interesting actually.
At first a whole load of services were missing. FSS saw them as all missing. Tom repaired them. Then FSS saw them all as repaired. Good! But then you restarted the computer and told me that WU was still broken. So we ran FSS again. And now FSS shows the services as broken again.
So...the services vanished again between Tom fixing them and you trying out Windows Update/over the computer restart would be the likely explanation.
So...where have they gone? A second time?
Well, either they have vanished into a second control set (in which case we will fix all of your control sets and that will be that), or you are (most likely) infected.
Please try the fix attached here: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...s-update-not-running-win-7-x64.html#post42094
One more time. If they disappear again, I think our best bet would be to send you over to our Security Forum to get checked out. If it turns out not to be malware related, I will continue to help you with the other possibilities (such as the control set issues).
How does that sound?
Richard
Hi Richard,
it sounds great.
I have executet the services from Tom once again and afterwards I ran FSS and the output is uploaded.
I will restart my PC and run FSS once again and upload that file too
