That's normal because of the permissions:

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try installing the update just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log

hey dude!

sth strange happened: did what you suggested. updating failed and i ran the process monitor during the attempt.

i saved the logfile.pml and restarted. after the restart i opened the win update console but it said that no updates are available and my system is up to date.

i couldn't figure out why the update is gone, since the process monitor has nothing to do with this so i simply restarted the system and searched for updates again. now the update 4471318 was available.

i tried to install it again and ran the process monitor during the attempt but it failed. i attached both logfiles - logfile.rar is the first one and logfile2.rar is from the second attempt.
