Windows Update Not Working Again...

Greetings,

Windows is reporting that all updates were installed. I have attached a screenshot of an issue with KB4099663. This update installs and is reported as ok, then when I run windows update, it pops up again as needing to be installed.

Best regards,

Keith

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and enter the following:

fsutil resource setautoreset true %systemdrive%\

Wait for it to complete and then reboot your computer.

Afterwards, check for updates again and let me know if the update is still showing up.

Greetings,

Installed in via system shutdown. Ran windows update. Back again. Rebooted, installed it via normal windows update, rebooted, ran windows update again and it is back to install again.

Best regards,

Keith

Greetings,

Manually downloaded the KB4095874, opened it, and it reporting that it is already installed on the system... One other note, when I performed the last installation of the update KB4099663 on the reboot went directly into chkdsk and spent a fair amount of time repairing corrupted files. This resulted in a new folder found.000.

Best regards,

Keith

Greetings,

The HDD is a VERTEX-460 solid state drive. The system diagnostics are not reporting any errors and the system health is 98.8%. The chkdsk was triggered by the attempted KB4099663 software install. I can check the windows event files to see if there is any clue to what caused the file corruptions...

Best regards,

Keith
