I downloaded the file WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab from there and it's running now, will update when it completes.

Sorry I reviewed my threads this morning and saw I answered all of them, yours might have slipped by. Can you try to install another update? If it fails, upload the WindowsUpdate.log and CBS.log for me again. I want to see if all the updates fail for a different reason related to themself, or because of the KB3020369.

I chose update KB2985461 at random and it failed with the same error.

I updated the logs to the same shared folder in google drive (appended the date to the file names to differentiate from the originals).

OK, so far so good.

I installed a random update and it worked, then I did the April 2015 servicing stack also successful, now installing the convenience rollup.

I'll keep you posted when done.

Well, I wouldn't say it's some secret sauce. I just learned how to troubleshoot Windows Update issue via the Windows Update Academy here (which is of course, private) :)
