7. Report the result.

It was installed and I was able to uninstall it but now it will not reinstall. Installation fails every time, even after a restart. Generic "failed to install all updates" message.

Check for Windows Updates again and see if KB2957509 shows up in the list of available updates.

Good. Now try to uninstall KB3179573 and KB3122648.
Reboot and run Windows Updates again and see if they show up again.

Both of those updates were never installed so I was unable to uninstall them. However, after doing a "shutdown and update" and then starting the server back up, neither one showed up as an available update for about 10 minutes. While I was typing this reply they showed up again though.

Update history shows that 6 updates failed during the "shutdown and update". KB4019112, KB3092601, KB3122648, KB2957509, KB3179573, KB4019264

The current list of available updates is: KB4019112, KB3092601, KB3122648, KB3179573, KB4019264

Should I leave it running and wait, or force close it? It seems like it's done all that the fixlist.txt told it to do.

I had to restart the server this morning to get some of the services back up that were needed for the workday. Running that fix appeared to have shut down almost every service that was running.
