[SOLVED] [WinServer2012] Won't Update

Please do the following.

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Step#2 - Change LAN Setting
1. Open up Control Panel
2. Make sure the View By is set to Category.
3. Select Network and Internet
4. Select Internet Options
5. Select the Connections Tab.
6. Click the LAN Settings button
7. Ensure "Automatically detect settings" is unchecked.
8. Click OK...Click OK again to get out of internet options.

Step#3 - Windows Update Fix
Run the following.

Did so and has been running since 5/9/2017 @ 11:03 am (a little over 48 hrs) and still checking for updates

Can you verify your Windows Update settings are set to Never Check for Updates? If not, can you set it this way please?

Both actually. Reboot first and then check for updates. Let me know if it finds any within an hour.

It took a matter of seconds to check for updates, trying to download and install the missing updates right now

Damn, new issue now

It was stuck at downloading 91 %

Clicked "Stop Download"

Did check updates and selected the first one on the list and been stuck at downloading 45 % for 30 mins now

Here's what I would do. Reboot the server when able. Then manually download KB4019216 and save to your desktop. Double-click this update to install and let me know if it works.

Ok good news, after KB4019216 I can do the updates directly from Windows Update and now fully patched

Going to wait and see if after few days and will let you know
