[SOLVED] WIN7 PRO SURT issues

I have win7 pro and ran sfc a gazillion times. I think I finally fixed some things but I have 4 SURT issues that I cannot

The SFCFix.txt is SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.Start time: 2018-05-30 08:37:19.443

Not using a script file.

I've had these issues for over a year trying to fix, but I give up.:huh:

oope I forgot to add win7 pro amd64 and while I don't use it I have IE11. I don't have win10 b/c it tried to update during the free time but as an overnight update and stopped in the middle on both my laptops.


p.s. I knew I had seen some answers months ago. I found this thread here with same problem:

Is the well just ignore it as I agree it doesn't seem to affect me (I think) now that I got my sfc/ fixed (she says warily:banghead:)

Lets take care of those damaged files. Even if you don't use Internet Explorer the browser is deeply integrated with the Operating System and should be keept updated and in working condition or other things may fail...


SFCFix Script

!!! WARNING !!! The following fix is only relevant for this system and no other, applying this fix on another computer will not work and most likely will cause problems...
  • Download SFCFix.exe (by Niemiro) and save it to the Desktop
  • Download the file SFCFIX.ZIP, attached below, and save this to your Desktop
  • On your Desktop, make sure you have the two files:
    myjIXnC.png
    SFCFix.exe and
    sfpcJCen14An3ndjNGCI7mByhjHJud.png
    SFCFIX.zip
  • Drag the file SFCFIX.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it
  • The SFCFix tool will process the script
  • Upon completion, a log file SFCFix.txt should be created on your Desktop
  • Open the SFCFix.txt log and copy & paste the contents to your post

System Update Readiness Tool (SUR)
  • Download the System Update Readiness Tool (x64) and save it to some place, its a big download and eventually we need to run it several times, please keep the file
  • Run the tool. Its like an Update but it can take a long time to do the work. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running
  • Please attach to your post the log from the following location: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
    Note:     If the file is too big please Zip it and upload the ZIP file to a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive or upload to SendSpace and just provide the link for the file here.

Ok, take your time.

The System Update Readiness Tool (SUR) is available like a Update but its actually a fixing tool that every time its used it tries to detect and resolve problems...

On the previous step we only put the file in place for the SUR tool to use during the repairs.
 
Hi S-Dude U have perfect nic except I'm a woman, so I can't borrow. Anyway, I'm running SUR now which takes forever. Will forward copy or link as u requested. If time, I'll run another SFC but that tends to take about 30 mins as well. But just wanted to let u know I'm back and on it. I do have a little service dog that I will have to take out for a pee but we won't be long as it is too damn hot out! arrgh :thud::thud: We r both heat intolerant so these kind of days tend to work in my advantage. :smile::LOL:
 
Yowza this took forever. But I still have that spelling issue. While u are off, I will rerun everything

After applying the fix using SFCFix run SUR by following the instructions on post #5 and post the new CheckSUR.log

Hi,

Only the SFCFix.txt log is missing :smile9: but its ok the CheckSUR.log shows that the files have been repaired.


Lets check if SFC doesn't report errors also.


SFC scan
  • Please open up a Command Prompt Window as a Administrator, instructions for Windows 7 or Windows 8 and 8.1.
  • Inside the command prompt window type or copy & Paste the following command:
    sfc /scannow
Note: This may take some time to finish. If the result is not "No integrity violations found" or equivalent please do the following:


Export the CBS folder
  1. Open the folder C:\Windows\Logs
  2. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy
  3. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS
  4. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder
  5. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created
    If the zip file is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive or upload to SendSpace and just provide the link for the file here.

Yes. Shoot, I thought I posted it. arrggh. I have to take my dog out right now so while I do so, I will rerun sfc and then post report here. I think I may have screwed something up the first time. I hope it is ok now. Many thanks 4 ur patience.
