Lenovo Yoga 7 Gen 7: DPC Watchdog Violation (Bugcheck code: 0x133)

To restore it:
Code:
rename c:\windows\system32\drivers\amdfendr.sy_ amdfendr.sys
sc config amdfendr start= auto
Open device manager, right-click on "amd crash defender", click "enable device".

I don't know why, but these pnputil commands didn't work:
Code:
pnputil /enable-device "ROOT\AMDLOG\0000"
pnputil /restart-device "ROOT\AMDLOG\0000"

I also tried the add-driver before them, but it didn't work either:
Code:
pnputil /add-driver C:\WINDOWS\INF\oem8.inf /install

Oem8.inf is the package name in my computer.
In other computers, it could be different.

Check if these folders contain something (if yes, zip and upload here):
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Containers\Dumps\
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\

I am not sure what you mean by additional settings. These is all the settings related to touchpad that I can think of. There is no additional software to control touchpad or touchscreen by Lenovo.
By the way, I can only use this laptop for several hours for about 1 week besides weekend. So triggering BSOD may be longer than usual.

Try to find another non-microsoft driver for the touchpad.
I didn't find it in Lenovo support...
Can you confirm there isn't one in it?

Maybe Windows device manager could find one: try to update automatically its driver.

I can't find any drivers from Lenovo Yoga 14ARB7 Lenovo support from all the sections. 1733301009689.webp
Device manager and Windows Update (including optional updates) also can't find it.1733301123405.webp1733301158883.webp

By the way, no more bsods or crashes since sunday?

I think the problem is the (missing) synaptics touchpad driver: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION on new Lenovo Yoga Laptop

Generic drivers from Windows Update are known to occasionally cause issues.
Similar issue with periodic DPC Watchdog crashes.
Mine was due to a generic Synaptics Touchpad driver.
Reinstalling with the driver from the Acer's website resolved the issue.

Then I found the synaptics driver version 19.5.35.105 (latest) on microsoft catalog, but it seems it's specific to HP (Hewlett Packard)...

No but I didn't use it frequently. Before that I always use it for like 10hours+- but now only 3 hours+- daily(This may continue until next week or at worst the end of Dec hopefully)
I guess I can wait for it to BSOD before trying the touchpad driver.

As this is an issue for many others is it possible to ask them to try out the new touchpad driver if they are willing to? It will certainly make the process faster but I understand why if you don't want to do that too.

I have read almost all info available online(even 1 German forum luckily there is Google translate lol)
I don't recall any of them offering a solution besides sending for repair/requesting refund or exchange. Sadly the post that you send does not reply after that but certainly it's worth trying :)

Yes, before trying that driver (or the one from Acer), the "plan" is to proceed with the clean startup and re-start half of the services next sunday.

Iirc, I read one person sent it two times but the problem wasn't solved...
