80073712 installing KB4467697

Thanks!

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Didnt see it installed, but you did say traces.. I downloaded an uninstaller tool. It ran without error, but gave no indication that it did anything though..

Code:
(Bitdefender) C:\Program Files\N-able Technologies\AVDefender\EPIntegrationService.exe
(Bitdefender) C:\Program Files\N-able Technologies\AVDefender\bdredline.exe
(Bitdefender) C:\Program Files\N-able Technologies\AVDefender\EPSecurityService.exe
(Bitdefender) C:\Program Files\N-able Technologies\AVDefender\EPUpdateService.exe

Oh AV defender. Yeah thats our virus software. This is one task I wont be able to perform. This is all controlled via remote console that I have no access to :( Do you think that would interfere when other updates install fine, just not this one?

Checked for update
Installed update
Prompted for reboot (rebooted)
Checked for update
Same update found
Installed update
repeat..
Same as video so that's all I'll say next time lol

Searching for methods to perform a clean boot with this OS results in suggestions on how to boot into safe mode. Is that sufficient?

OK, great! Please export this for me first:

Step#1 - Export registry as hive

  • Click on the Start button and in the search box, type regedit
  • When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing
  • Once selected, click File > Export....
  • Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (*.*).
  • Name this file ComponentBasedServicing (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on the saved file and choose Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  • Attach the .ZIP file to your next post.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload to SendSpace and just provide the link here.
