Thanks everyone for taking the time and explaining it much better.

@Patrick :- Yes you are absolutely right. That is the same condition which I am going through at the moment. Although every day I am able to see various new cases which I love and helping people makes me feel good.

@JcGriff2 :- Thanks for your advice. I would try to take it according to my own pace and never rush the things. Also, John if you have time and could tell more about your past like how was it, how you and usasma met, what happened after that and all? It would really be interesting to read it.

Thank you so much guys. I look forward to learn a lot from you ^_^.

I have also been banned from Seven Forums. Just about everyone I know has been banned from that forum. I got banned in October 2011 and I was banned for life. What did they ban you for Bassfisher? Did they give you a reason?

Hello. I hope it is still okay to post here about my ban from Seven Forums (I ask seeing that the last post here is from October 19, 2014 n.nU). If I shouldn't post on this thread (as in that I had to open a new thread), then feel free to delete this post. Thanks :)

Now for topic at hand. I also got banned around 2011 or at most 2012 since my last post was on September 6, 2011, so I take my ban was between October, 2011 and October, 2012.

The reason for my ban? That I reported Seven Forum's e-mail addresses as spam to my e-mail provider. The thing is that I never reported those e-mails to my e-mail provider which is Yahoo. Thing that makes me wonder, how they can be able to know that a person reported their e-mail addresses as spam to his or her e-mail provider? o.o

I never did anything bad at Seven Forums. I even had 159 reputation points since I did a few helping posts including a tutorial related to Windows Media Player =/

I even tried to contact them about my ban, but they never replied to me =/

By the way something funny happened to me today at Seven Forums. You see, I found a solution there for an issue related to one of the recent Windows Updates I installed a week ago. I wanted to post a thank you to the member there who made a solution for this issue. Since my account was banned (same username as I have here) I decided to register a new one. I registered the new account with almost the same username, just adding an extra "A" between the "B" and the "G" and used a different e-mail address. All went fine, I got an e-mail to validate my e-mail address and said my new account was on queue for Admin approval to be fully activated. I said, okay I'll wait. However a few minutes later when I tried to sign in with my new username, the forum said it doesn't exist. What I did was to use the forgot password page and typed the e-mail address I used to register the new account. The e-mail got recognized and thus an e-mail to reset my password got sent. I checked my e-mail and what do you know? It was linked to my old account! I clicked on the link to reset the password and got new e-mail with a new password, and when I tried to login with my old account and that new password, I found out my old account unbanned!

Who would have thought that a mere registry of a new account adding one single letter could unban an account there? :hysterical:

I know that if they see this post I surely will get banned again, but meh. I already did what I wanted to do which was to thank to the guy who posted the fix for that Windows Update from a week ago which resulted in a couple of corrupt files, so I'm fine XD

I wonder if it was a bug or they knew it was you and unbanned you.

Usually, it is pretty easy to tell if a user creates a second account using some type of persistent identifier. I imagine you tripped there sensor and someone unbanned your original account and deleted the new one.

If so good on them, Honestly after all this time it would be nice for the bad blood to go away.

I was surprised too. I think it is as you said. They must have known it was me because the other e-mail I used has the same name before the @ symbol, only chaging yahoo for hotmail, and since the username was pretty similar (just an extra "A") they just deleted the new account and linked the hotmail e-mail to the old one.

Besides, my ban was unjustified. I never reported their e-mail addresses as spam to yahoo (the e-mail I used to register the old account years ago).

True, I only have 31 posts there (counting the new post I made last night), but between them there is the tutorial I made which got me good reputation there. I never trolled anyone and even had 2 friends on there I made there (one of them helped me with a problem I had which ultimately ended in me having to format and reinstall Windows on my old PC but this friend tried all to help me, but you know how Windows can be so troll some times u.u), so all in all I was a good user.

Ah well. It was a funny thing how my old account got unbanned. Or like you said, maybe the bad blood on there is gone now :)

Something in the backroom coffee.

Yeah, but they forget that without members you can't have a forum. Not to mention that it was a power abuse what they did. I'm admin on a couple of forums (Small fan forums about anime and such) and I was moderator on another forum for almost 4 years, and the first thing I learned is that I can't abuse of my power and that I need to have good communication with the members, which obviously that didn't happen at SF forums since they did all the opposite which was abuse of power and not even telling you why you got banned or using really no sense reasons.
