Install Update with DISM

  1. Download this update and save to your desktop. The file name will be Windows6.1-KB4507449-x64.cab.zip.
  2. Right-click on this file and select Extract All... Click the Extract button. You can close the folder window that opens
  3. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  4. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator. Go ahead and allow if you receive the UAC prompt.
  5. Copy and paste the following command into the command prompt window and press enter.

    dism /online /add-package /packagepath:%userprofile%\desktop\Windows6.1-KB4507449-x64.cab
  6. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
    Restart Windows to complete this operation. <---You may not get this line.
    Do you want to restart the computer now (Y/N)? <---You may not get this line.

Go ahead and do so if prompted. Let me know what errors if any come up. If you do get errors, please zip/attach your CBS.log

Note: If you get the message that no packages that require processing were found, use the following command instead:

dism /online /add-package /packagepath:%userprofile%\desktop\Windows6.1-KB4507449-x64.cab\Windows6.1-KB4507449-x64.cab

If successful, retry one of the updates that failed and attach CBS.log if it fails again.
 
Before trying to fix this further, let's do the following to see if the hardware is okay:

GSmartControl
Follow the instructions below to check your SMART status with GSmartControl:


  • Download the portable version of GSmartControl and save it on your Desktop;
  • Extract the zip file to your Desktop. Open the folder gsmartcontrol-1.1.3-win64 which should be located on your Desktop and double-click gsmartcontrol.exe to launch the program.
  • Identify your drive in the list (if recognized by the tool), and hover your mouse over it.
  • You should see something called: SMART status. It will either read: Enabled, in which case you should do the following:
  • Double-click on it to bring up its window (usually you'll find your drive by its size or its brand name);
  • Go to the Self-Tests tab, then select Extended Self-test in the Test type drop-down list and click on Execute (this test can take a few hours to complete);
  • Once the test is over, the results will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Please copy and paste these results in your next reply or take a screenshot;
  • Also, go in the Attributes tab and if you have any entries highlighted in red or pink, take a screenshot of the GSmartControl window and attach it in your next reply;
  • Please note: If the SMART Status reads: Unsupported, stop and let me know.

i wait for the end off test, but after restart, i try to run again the update. you can see i have really a big problem. i run hdd regenerator on this drive, but it don't find any problem on it. the test need more 2 hours. maybe you think about an another problem for me

Step#1 - FRST Fix

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

hello, i come back with my problem. because i try kUC program and 360 total security with all virus definition and tweaking.com windows repair, i put my computer in bad situation. i go back with an old backup and apply all your patch again with antivirus again. i used SFCFix for know where is the bad files. with an another computer who have windows 7 two. i made SFCFix.txt and zip this on SFCFix.zip... but i have an error... i made a zip archive with all 80 detected corruption on a winsxs an the manifest files. i created a
i don't understand why. you can see all the fixlog in attachement. i run frst after all fix. you can find the result too

please i'm sorry. i use this new antivirus with all motors of definition active. that's say to me i have some virus and i do the remove but after that i can't come in windows. that why i need to restore a backup. i need to fix again all the 3 page you give it to me. because i see alway's the 80 errors on frstlog, i try to make like you an sfcfix. but he does not know anything. i give all this log for you see if i forgot to do anything and pick up where we were. i try to understand to. exemple: i can't run the autochk. that alway's say i have a problem with an update.

These are remnants of the update I removed as it caused issues, as I explained previously.

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.
