Defender error code 0x8007007e.

Regardless of whether or not it causes inevitable system crashes, which it does, what is the actual benefit of having two antiviruses installed at once? I see virtually zero benefits.

You'll get errors from quarantine/vault battling, first of all. Secondly, both antiviruses will try to kill each other because they see things like hooks to low-level functions and don't know that "hey, it's only Kaspersky hooking, it's fine" but see it as malware behavior. You're also wasting system resources.

Also, for the record, as far as I last remember, if another antivirus program tries to co-exist with a Kaspersky security product, it won't let it (or Kaspersky will kill itself).

I have never disagreed with that.

AFAIK, MSE/WD do the same thing.

It's my observation that we are all saying the same thing. "It's probably not a good idea to run two ant-virus programs in real time"
Very good discussions however!!

Also, if you try to install a Kaspersky product on a system that have another Antivirus installed, it'll refuse to install and ask you to uninstall the other Antivirus first to avoid conflict.
