[SOLVED] DPC Issues that cause audio stuttering, distortion, as well as video lag

Hi again

It's been a while ... am I remembering right - that this is a self-build? The devices missing drivers look to be motherboard features. If the Broadcom and Realtek chips are integrated devices on the motherboard, you should be able to grab drivers for them at the Asrock website for your motherboard. Same goes for the USB drivers, and other motherboard devices with missing drivers.

In this case, it's OK if the drivers are a bit old, since Windows 7 has been around quite a while.

Okay, I got the ethernet and all of the 3.0 drivers working, HOWEVER the audio jack does not work (by audio jack, I mean the mic and audio jack). What do I do abou7t that? I tried installing everything on the asrock site and I tried looking for drivers for them online to no avail.

One thing to note, I keep trying to install realtek and it never actually shows up on device manager even after I finished installing and rebooting it.

The headset I have that plugs into audio jacks does not show up in devices, and does not show up in playback devices.

Hi again

If I'm remembering right, you might have disabled the onboard sound early on in your troubleshooting. Have a look in the Bios, and enable the onboard audio if it happens to be disabled.

It probably is disabled, or the drivers from Asrock would have worked OK.

Let us know if that doesn't help.

Very nice that everything is back in working order. Good work!

To mark a thread as "Solved" (which is rather like closed) you can select that in the upper right-hand corner this thread, where you'll see an item "Thread Tools" (you are the only one to see that for this thread, because you are the creator of it ... I think the moderators close threads, too... It's funny, I never paid much attention to the details of how forums work! ....)
