[SOLVED] Error 8007312; SFC /scannow and SfcFix Both Clean

I'm not using the XP machine. I realized its fried. The USB I'm using was formatted to boot so I'm not sure if a file can be added to it?

Is is what you sent me in post 119 definitely correct?

The only thing I can think of is that it isn't typed correctly. So if you have double checked that every character is typed correctly and it doesn't work then reboot your machine and we will figure out a different way I guess. I need to leave and will be back in 40 minutes.

We may have to roll back the files from Post#58, #54, #50, #45 & #38 but I'd like to try and fix only this one file and see if your machine is better.

OK, see if the following will run.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

1. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
2. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator. In your case it may already be open.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
4. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Actually it did. That confirms you were typing the correct command in the command prompt and the directory really doesn't exist. Please do the following.

File Identification
1. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator. Again, it may already be open.
2. Type ncrypt.dll into the Search box of the FRST window.
3. Click the Search Files button.
4. When the search is done it will open a notepad window with the results. Can you copy/paste the contents of this window into your next post?
