[SOLVED] Error 8007312; SFC /scannow and SfcFix Both Clean

I don't have much left in me to keep fighting this battle. Not having desktop email access is something I can't be without for
another day.

Then I think we skip trying to do the restore from System Image and do a fresh install. Do you have your Office 2003 disks to re-install after the OS is installed?

Although I need to get back online yesterday, I'm reluctant to do a clean reinstall because last time I did one, I couldn't reinstall my Microsoft Office 2003 even with the disk. I don't recall the error message I got but I ended up having to take my computer to my tech person so he could use his Office disk.

So I guess what I'm saying is I really don't know what to do other than start looking for a new computer in the morning.

OK, we'll we have nothing to lose. So let's choose install instead of Repair. You may need to boot back up to the Windows 7 Ultimate DVD if you can't get back to the repair menu.

One Note: Do not enter your product key during Setup. Instead, you will attempt to activate Windows 7 manually after it is installed. So you can just enter your product key later.

I want to call my computer guy in the morning to make sure he still has an Office 2003 disk in case what you're proposing doesn't work. I don't think I want to do a reinstall without having his Office disk as a safety net.
