I am the IT team & have been trying to fix this issue for over a month now. And yes to your other question. I turned to this site because in my research I found posts from quite s few people with similar issues that have been solved. I am at my whits end with this issue. As I have said earlier, I appreciate all of your time & effort in helping me find a solution. Short of doing a clean install of Windows, what are my other options?
I'm a Tier 2 Technical Support for a big corporation myself and to tell you the truth, right now if I were in your shoes, I would just re-image that workstation. We've been working on this issue for over 10 days now. Here, if I cannot solve a Windows Update issue within a day (or a few hours), I just re-image the workstation since it's way, way faster that way. We can try to troubleshoot that issue or you can re-image the workstation. The choice is yours :)
I agree with your assessment, but my boss has some unexplainable aversion to reimaging. He prefers to spend hours troubleshooting something than just starting fresh. I truly appreciate all of your help with this. :)
We are past the few hours now, we are at days of troubleshooting Here re-imaging a computer takes around 45 minutes, it's quite fast. Are your Windows Updates delivered via SCCM or WSUS?
