hello, yes let's go, this new machine, I have backup of the files.Okay, based on what I've seen so far I would say that the DriverStore is corrupt beyond repair, unless you have a similar Server in terms of installed updates. We could try replacing the store, but I have never done that and would generally advise against it as it can lead to severe issues.
However, if you are determined not to rebuild this and have backups in place...
We cannot deactivate them as they are needed.

I will go to bed now, and come up with a plan when I wake up.
Just in case, should we need to transfer a large amount of data, do you have access to a NAS or an FTP we could use? It's not a problem if you don't, I'm merely exploring options.

hello, I did the above, rename drivers.bad and put the same drive that was sent to you, installed the KB, and restarted,Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
- Save DRIVERS.RAR you provided to the desktop of the sick Server.
- Right-click on it and select Extract all.... Make sure the "Show extracted files when complete" is checked and click Extract.
- Now we have the DRIVERS file that we will be using to replace your current one.
- Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config
- Right-click on the current DRIVERS file and select rename. Rename it to DRIVERS.bad.
Note: If you get an error that the file is in use, reboot your computer and then try again.- Take the file from the Drivers folder on your desktop and paste it into C:\Windows\System32\config
You've told me that the file (DRIVERS) you sent me was from an OKAY system, so I want you to copy it over to the SICK system and then retry updates.
