More work for you...

Retrieve the Components Hive
  1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file
  2. Please copy the COMPONENTS file to your desktop
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again
  3. Right-click on this file on your Desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your Desktop
  4. If file will is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or upload to www.sendspace.com and just provide the link for the file here

Hello again! Sorry for the late reply! For some reason I did not see the prevous entry :-( No new notification was listed.....
May be I should update my self too... But I think you had other tasks to work on.
The requested file is under COMPONENTS.zip
Regards, Ernie

Hi,

I also notice some notifications missing!...

Apply the attached Fix using FRST like you did before. The computer will ask for a reboot.

Please post the resulting Fixlog.txt.

Something like that...

I missed a /f on the last command of the fix, thank you for confirming the removal of the value.

Try to install the Windows Updates and report the result.

It's not completely clear for me what I should do.
I've searched the Registry for HKLM\COMPONENTS /V PendingRequired This is not listed.
Anything else to do or perform now an update?

Hi,

The fix took care of that, now open the Control Panel -> Windows Update -> Search for updates and let them install.

Why does a sleepy Dude reply while he was offline?
Currently my provider has a problem with DNS.
I am on a workaround now. Will do it tomorrow.
Sorry later today.
Sleep well if you find some time!
