We got mostly snow (after it changed over from rain) - several inches. Unusual for NJ beach areas to get more snow than Philadelphia (~ 75 miles SW) b/c the Atlantic Ocean breeze usually keeps us a few degrees warmer.

Whoo hoo....going to hit the 70's next week....freezing rain and snow one week, the next week in the 70's. It's been one crazy ride of a winter this year...

Although it's a lot of snow, it's nothing to compare with the blizzard of 78 - or even the storm on Presidents Day weekend of 2003 (Boston's Logan airport was closed and I couldn't get back to work in El Paso).

My daughter says she got 10" of snow in Hickory, NC from this storm
We got 17" of snow in Jacksonville, NC in Feb of 1970 - and it all melted the next day!

Hey John, I remember that blizzard of 1970. We had 2 to 4 feet of snow and the snow drifts were up the the eaves of the house on the front side. In the back not much and even some bare ground was exposed. I was just a young lad then (5yrs old) but I remember it.

More snow on the way -

Forgot to post - we had more snow 2 days ago; pretty much gone now.

Snow has been so routine this winter here in the NJ Metro area, it's easy to forget to post about it!

A very, very brutal winter this year - lowest temps for long periods of time and a dozen+ snow storms.

I'm sure I'll be complaining about the heat & humidity of summer soon enough!

Had the first Driver walk in with a A/C not working complaint this morning, Spring must be here....................................

My AC died at the very end of last Summer, so this one's going to be a scorcher unless I win the lottery.

As far as I know, the unit itself still works fine, but it freezes up extremely fast, even if it's 80 degrees outside. Once that happens, it barely blows any cold air.

On a related note, I was getting new belts put on my car and the guys wrench slipped breaking a nut loose and wrecked my A/C line... :lolg:
They are replacing it but, of course the line he broke was a dealer only part :banghead:

No A/C for me for two weeks... Good thing it isn't supposed to be above 70!
