More Snow in New Jersey !!

Disclaimer John do not watch or read this post

Pepboys Auto Zone or even Walmart have small cans of R134a(providing your car is 1995 or newer or has been recharged since 1995) I recommend the cans with the gauge on them 7520

Hook the line off the can to the low side A/C line(the only one the adapter will fit on) usually has a blue plastic cap but may be black depending on manufacturer and year 7521 charge until the gauge is in the green.

I think this would be a good time to mention that this is a window air conditioner and not a car air conditioner!

That would make it a totally different operation..............in that case if it's less then 12,000 BTU put it on the curb with a sign that says Free and visit Home Depot for a replacement. :hysterical:

I figured that would be the best course of action.

Oh well, it served me well for the time it lasted!

I did have my car A/C on yesterday when we got in the 60s.

And no, this wasn't me!
Had the first Driver walk in with a A/C not working complaint this morning, Spring must be here....................................

Speaking of winter weather -- we're under a winter weather advisory. It started as sleet and now the ground is white again. Forecast is 3-6" by tomorrow evening.

Did you miss the Disclaimer?:hysterical:

I did see the 1st line, but there are many people named "John". :grin1:

I actually did charge-up my car A/C during the Freon days.

Likely the same huge storm that rained us out. 41F here now.

I know. . . but never figured out where the blue cap is in the newer Lincolns!

I'd like to know because as you know, the A/C is the most important feature to me in my car.

After all, how are you supposed to cool off on those hot summer days with the moonroof open?

Answer: Super-cold A/C !
