Go to Control Panel - Windows Update - Change settings.
Select Download updates but let me choose whether to install them.
Click OK.

Apologies for the late update.So I decided to upgrade to windows 10 and the upgrade was successful.So far everything is working just fine,so I think you can close the thread now.
