Need help to repair damaged files in sxs directory

Yes, the previous drive developed bad sectors and has been replaced. That's probably why I had so much damage to the SXS stuff. It probably affected the safe boot code also. I did disk restore on the new drive and I'm sure the corruption followed along, because it was only my backup software that indicated that the disk was experiencing read errors. Interestingly enough, I got no pop-up notifications from Windows. I found the old drive had been erroring for a while only by reviewing the Windows system log via system management > event viewer. I have since added a popup notification task for disk error events.

This is why I don't recommend doing an image/clone of a system that is on a failing drive (or one with bad sectors), since these can affect the copy of the system being done, and restore the irregularities on the new drive.
