[SOLVED] .Net Framework Missing/Corrupt

Are you able to restart your computer, then install the remaining updates? Basically, only the one for the .NET Framework should remain, right?

Hello Aura:

I did do a computer restart and to answer your question, the following continue to remain errors and will not install:
KB2901983 <yup ~ the infamous <NET Framework 4.5.2!>
KB3001652 Office 2010 Runtime (typically attached to the above)

Extremely annoying. I realize that both of these are not critical to the operation of my computer. It's the fact that they remain illusive is driving me crazy!

I'm question how much time you/we wish to continue with this? We have used the Microsoft uninstall tool; Microsoft .NET repair tool; Aaron's suggested fix.
No sure what else to do?

Your thoughts?

There's an issue with the .NET Framework installer. I can see it clearly in the logs, but it seems that the error code and error description don't match each other. I'll look into it more once I get home tonight.

Greetings Aura!

From further research, it appears my .NET Framework problem is more than likely based in the system 32 <windows root>; to find exactly where the corruption lives there, will be more than impossible!

I am just so grateful for all of the hours you have donated attempting to help me get this problem resolved.

Please close this topic.

See you in the forums!

What will you do if you are unable to use the .NET Framework? What will happen if you want to use programs that requires it?

Hi Aura!

Bingo...I think I have found the problem...and it's so simple!
Look at the .NET Framework System Requirements in this link: .NET Framework System Requirement

My C: Drive: Drive.JPG - Google Driv

:r1: What do you know!!! It appears, that more than likely, I do not have enough space left on my hard drive to meet the system requirements. Thus I am not able to update the .Net Framework!

Unless you see something different, I think I found the bottom line issue.

What's next to resolve the problem: for me to finally install that 2TB drive I have held onto like it was gold!!

So, new hard drive; fresh install of my W7 Ultimate and I bet all will be fixed!

I can't wait to read your thoughts! :grin1:

It would make a lot of sense to me to be honest. I should have spotted it with the MiniToolBox, that's my bad here.

And of course a fresh install will solve all your issues so :)

Aura, no bad at all about you or any of this! Goodness did you ever work so hard to resolve this mystery!
The best ever, is this thread will never go away and if there happens to be another individual who is having a problem
with the .NET Framework, by golly you have provided endless steps and tutorials to seek a solution.

In closing, I not only wish to thank you, I'd also like to give gigantic thanks and appreciation to my son. He is 19 and is studying
computer science. When I asked him if he knew where the .Net Framework lives, he led me to System 32. From there it took one Google search
and there was my answer.

IMO, many solutions to problems are found within a network. You, my son and incredible volunteers here, and forums like BleepingComputer.com work as a unified team to solve problems. Complex or simple.

And...the path to success continues!

Thank you for all the warm compliments Lisa, it's always appreciated to read these when you work hard to solve an issue :)

Good luck with the reinstall, and if you need help before, during or after, you can always post on the forums (either over at BleepingComputer or here) and send me a PM so I can check it out!
