It was the offline installer. I have just tried WU and it failed immediately

Okay, I have a few ideas...
Please download the offline package for Internet Explorer 10 and try installing it. Let me know if successful.

Hi,

I can't find any downloads for IE10 for Server 2008 at all online, however I did a search on the Microsoft catalog site and there was a long list of downloads which appeared to be for all the different languages:



I downloaded all the ones that appeared to be for EN or language non-specific:



However when I try to install any of them it doesn't get past the Run option. I click Run but nothing happens!



I have uploaded the logs for you.

Do you have a copy of the standalone for IE10?

Interesting, it appears there is no standalone version available anymore. Let's take another approach... Which error code does Windows Update report when you try to install IE11?
Are there any other updates listed to be installed? If so, which one(s)?

When I try to install IE11 via Windows Updates it immediately give me this error



The only other update to be installed on that server is IE10 and if I try to install that I immediately get the same error



All other updates install fine when they are available

Could you go to your installed updates and try uninstalling IE9?
