Hello Tom Two updates have failed KB2645640 Error code 800F081F and KB 976932 Error code 8024200D

You installed KB2645640 and have lost internet connection, but now Windows Update says KB2645640 failed to install with error 800F081F?

Tom

I installed KB2645640 successfully after reboot I lost internet connection so I did a system restore to time just before KB 2645640 install.Restored the internet connection so I proceeded with KB 274355 and KB 2727528 both successfully installed. Then I tried to install KB 2645640 and KB 976932 which failed.with the error codes I posted earlier.

Hi Neil,

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.

Attach CBS.zip to your next post please!
