[SOLVED] SFC can't repair couple files

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread only. No one else should follow these instructions, as it could damage your system.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it on your desktop.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, 2 files will appear on your desktop, SFCFix.txt and WUlog.zip.
  • Attach both files to your next reply.

  1. Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:
    32-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
  2. Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  3. Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  4. Press the Fix button.
  5. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
  6. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  7. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  8. Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Open an elevated command prompt.
Copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each.

Code:
cd C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\WMI
Wait for this to finish before you continue.

Code:
rename RtBackup RtBackup2
Wait for this to finish before you continue.
Note: If there is an error please report before you continue.

Close the command prompt window.
Restart the machine.
Check Windows Update again and report the result.
If it fails, attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

Why is the program IDM Crack 6.25 build 24 installed ?
 
I bought the laptop fairly used Sir and I don't know all the programs that are in it. Should I look for it and uninstall it?
 
I'm not sure but looking at that name I think it is a tool to crack the program "Internet Download Manager".
I you don't use "Internet Download Manager", uninstall Internet Download Manager and IDM Crack 6.25 build 24 .

Also uninstall the following programs, restart the machine when prompted to do so.
  • AML Free Registry Cleaner 4.25
  • Startup Faster! 2004
 
I have uninstalled them and restated the system but the windows update failure still persist.
 
Uninstall Free Download Manager.
Reboot the machine.

Run the FRST scan again
