[SOLVED] Stuck on Win10 version 1909

Perform a clean boot and attempt to update after the restart and let me know the result.
  • Open the startmenu and type msconfig.exe, and then press Enter
  • On the General tab, select Selective startup, and then deselect Load startup items.
  • On the Services tab, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
  • Select OK, and restart the system.

BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 6001 02/09/2018
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. CROSSHAIR VI HERO

Could you please update your BIOS, this is the latest version: Version 8601 2022/08/08.
Afterwards, update the chipset (motherboards) drivers as well, you can find all the downloads here: ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO | ROG Crosshair | Gaming Motherboards|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global

In a similar case this was the solution to resolve this rollback issue (0xC1900101-0x20017).

Updated the BIOS and chipset; Attempted another Windows Update and after a few seconds of checking for updates it says I'm up to date (it doesn't seem to be finding the 21H2 update like it was previously). Build info still says version 1909 and the OS build is 18363.2274

Hmm, that's strange. Could you please try - again - to install the latest feature update using the Media Creation Tool.

Windows 10 Repair Install
This will reinstall and update the operating system and fix any corruptions, without removing any file or program. But make always a backup of all your important data!
  • Go to this Microsoft page and under the title Create Windows 10 installation media press on Download tool now.
  • Save the tool on your Desktop and double click to run it.
  • On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
  • On the What do you want to do page, select Create installation media (USB....) and then select Next.
  • Choose the ISO file option. Once the download is complete, right click the ISO and select the option Mount.
  • Open the Windows File Explorer and open mounted ISO, and run the setup.exe file.
  • Follow the instructions and click on the option Change what to keep.
  • Select the option Keep personal files and apps and click next.
  • Windows Setup will now start the in-place upgrade installation to repair Windows.

Thanks for all your support! I've been dealing with this issue for over a year; you can mark this thread as solved
