  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards attempt to update again. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.

Hi,

It seems all the Side By Side keys for the re-installed Language Packs are missing the correct value data. So please attempt to update again with Process Monitor to see if we can filter all the affected keys at once.

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try updating the system just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the square (CTRL +E) on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up the LogFile.PML and upload it to WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free and provide the link.
6. Attach also the latest CBS logs for the time stamps.

This is what I got when running Process Monitor tool.
Still re-run the tool so I can capture whatever is possible.

Hmm, is this a physical server or a VM? If it's a VM how many RAM is assigned, and are you able to assign more RAM to avoid this issue?

It is a physical VM and I do not have resource to expand memory.
It failed again.
Attached the latest is the CBS file and whatever I got in Process Monitor.

Thanks, but this is going te bo a difficult issue to resolve since you have re-installed the partially installed Language Packs. The incomplete trace with Process Monitor shows a number of affected keys, but unfortunately it does not show the expected values as highlighted below. Another problem is that each key expects a different 'winner' value, as we can see in the excerpts below.

Last issue:
Rich (BB code):
2024-06-21 07:03:02, Error                 CSI    000038d9 (F) STATUS_NOT_SUPPORTED #172419440# from PrimitiveInstaller::CCoordinator::ProcessChange(Change 10.0.17763.1 -> 10.0.17763.5696 for Microsoft-Windows-Security-Kerberos.Resources, arch amd64, culture [l:5]'de-DE', nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35})[gle=0xd00000bb]

Previous issue:
Rich (BB code):
2024-06-20 14:25:20, Error                 CSI    00003399 (F) STATUS_NOT_SUPPORTED #172342131# from PrimitiveInstaller::CCoordinator::ProcessChange(Change 10.0.17763.1 -> 10.0.17763.5202 for Microsoft-Windows-LanguagesDB-Onecore.Resources, arch amd64, culture [l:5]'de-DE', nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35})[gle=0xd00000bb]

So we have a few options:
1. Trying to fix all the keys manually, but it seems it involves 1000+ keys so this isn't really an option - also because we can't automate this with the result of Process Monitor.
2. Perform an in-place-upgrade, at this stage it seems to be best option to resolve all the issues.

I'm afraid this is not a solution at the moment, are you able able to clone this server in an other environment to test some things safely?

We can't clone the server but we are parallelly trying to build a fresh new server but it need some time to complete purchase and all other stuff.
Meanwhile I tried removing the language package and now I can't see error related to language package in CBS file.
I have attached the CBS file. Please have a look and suggest.

Please run the following command and post the result.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /AnalyzeComponentStore

I am running the command meanwhile can you check other errors as well mostly related to today i.e. 22th of June.

The error above is related to the other errors as it seems and might has to due with reclaimable packages.

Rich (BB code):
2024-06-22 05:04:03, Error CBS Cannot evaluate applicability for a dead package. [HRESULT = 0x800f0817 - CBS_E_PACKAGE_DELETED]

Great, please run the following command and post the result.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /StartComponentCleanup

Great, please reboot the server - attempt to update again and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.
