Thanks. Please do the following.

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Attempt to start the service just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails to start. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log.

Happy Thanksgiving. Attached is the log file information.

OK, I have an idea to figure this out. What I would like to do is have you do a physical to virtual conversion of your machine. It appears you will have space to create this VM on your D or E drive. This will basically create a virtual machine of your running computer. I'll then have you upload that directly to me. I'll restore that in my environment here, attempt to resolve the issue and then hopefully provide you instructions back on exactly what to do to resolve. If you are willing to try this, let me know and I will provide further instructions.

The first step however (if you wish to do this) would be to create a new Administrative user on your machine named sysnative with no password (or a password that you provide to me via Private Message). Step by Step instructions to do this are below.
How to create a new user account in Windows 7 and Windows Vista

Ok. send me your email address where to send the password to. Thank you.

It looks like I have to register with VMware before I can download the converter...correct?
