Therefore run the instructions in message #17 and #19 again. Make sure to read the instructions carefully.

Aha, that's why nothing is fixed at step 3.

Click on Start - All Programs - Accessories.
Right-click on Command-prompt and select Run as administrator.
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter afterwards.

chkdsk c: /i /f

At the question "Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)", press Y.
Restart the system.

Do not press any key during the restart. This will allow CHKDSK to start.
Watch carefully if chkdsk runs successful now.
Report the result.

It seemed to run okay, but got stuck in a loop. Kept rebooting to the chkdsk screen. I had to use Windows R to break the loop.

Rightclick

ListChkdskResult.exe and select Run as administrator.
Notepad will open the file ListChkdskResult.txt on completion. (The file ListChkdskResult.txt can be found on your desktop.)
