[SOLVED] Updating 3rd Windows 7 x86 to windows 10 failed on reboot

Just found out it boots with windows 10 start up logo (running bar) instead of windows 7 4 colours logo

Does Windows 10 starts completely ?

Shutdown the machine completely.
Are you able to open the Windows Boot Manager and select Windows 7 from there ? You may need to press F8 or Shift + F8 at startup.

No only view of windows 10 is the rolling bar instead of the swirl? when it boots into Windows 7 still . If I press F8 all it says start normally or safe mode options

Yes I can run it in safe mode by pressing F8 what do I need to do in safe mode ?

Open an elevated commandprompt and run the command bcdedit.
Provide a screenshot/image of the result.

ran safe mode and after running command and BCDedit image attached

Hmm, still no success. Did you get an error message when running the first command ?

No. I'm out of options on this issue for now.

I presume its a problem with the BCD causing the reboot problem with the windows 10 upgrade . Is there any way of doing a clean install and transfering the programs from the old hard drive?

Another option is to buy a new drive and install Windows on that one.
After that you can use the old drive as a slave drive and backup. Programs need to be re-installed on the new OS.
