[SOLVED] Win 7 x64 KB4343899 & KB4343900 Failing with Error 80070057

Not sure if I was supposed to try installing the updates again after that last step, but I did try it and unfortunately those three updates are still failing with the same error.

Install Update with DISM

  1. Download this update and save to your desktop. The file name will be Windows6.1-KB3000483-x64.cab.zip.
  2. Right-click on this file and select Extract All... Click the Extract button. You can close the folder window that opens
  3. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  4. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator. Go ahead and allow if you receive the UAC prompt.
  5. Copy and paste the following command into the command prompt window and press enter.

    dism /online /add-package /packagepath:%userprofile%\desktop\Windows6.1-KB3000483-x64.cab
  6. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
Restart Windows to complete this operation. <---You may not get this line.
Do you want to restart the computer now (Y/N)? <---You may not get this line.

Go ahead and do so if prompted. Let me know what errors if any come up. If you do get errors, please zip/attach your CBS.log

Unfortunately, I got an error:

Code:
Deployment Image Servicing and Management toolVersion: 6.1.7600.16385

Image Version: 6.1.7601.18489

Processing 1 of 1 -
An error occurred - Package_for_KB3000483 Error: 0x80070057

Error: 87

An error occurred while processing the command.
Ensure that the command-line arguments are valid. For more information, review t
he log file.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

I'm attaching dism.log and cbs.log

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try installing the update just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log

With ProcMon running for just a couple of minutes while the updates tried to install, the resulting log file is 3.5GB. Even zipped it's over 270MB. I don't have enough space in my dropbox for a file that big. Do I need to adjust ProcMon settings to capture less data, or do you have another file sharing solution that will accept a file this large?

Let's see if this helps:
