[SOLVED] [Win7 x64] Unable to install SP1.

cmd line did install ok
ran SP1 but no luck, same error
(btw : a cmd line opened 2 times : makecab.exe (cabinetmaker) ?? is that because logs are getting too big ? )

Yes, makecab reduces the filesize by compressing the old CBS file.

Add Missing Package
1. Click the Start button and type cmd.exe in the search box.
2. Right-click on the cmd that comes up and select Run as administrator.
3. Once you are at the command prompt, copy/paste the following line and hit enter.
pnputil -a C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_modemcsa.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_7620f8db64823fb5\modemcsa.inf

Let me know if it says successfully installed. If it does, try to install SP1.

HI,
Bigger problem now...
Since i am constantly deactivating avast to install SP1, i must have downloaded something, i don't know when, which redirects me when googling to another site : something like us.search.yahoo.com
Even when i am on a webpage, this virusthing changes fonts to a link, and when you tick on it , it redirects you again and so on....
I have not added your last package, because i wanted to know what to do.
I have done hours on scanning with Malwarebytes, Adware removal kits, Kaspersky,...nothing helps...

Very disappointed at the moment pf course...
Any advice ?

No luck my friend. Always the same double reboot, configuring windows, at 10% same error.
Do you know how often i have to install this SP1 again ? :huh:

We will try this a couple of more times. If it then doesn't work, we'll take a different approach.
