[Win7HomePremium] Unable to install Service Pack 1

Re: Unable to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1

For Item 1 (components file - note there was also a COMPONENTS.LOG1 and COMPONENTS.LOG2 - I wasn't sure exactly what to compress so I just did the COMPONENTS file): https://www.sendspace.com/file/hy3mku
It appears you zipped up COMPONENTS.LOG. I need the file that is just named COMPONENTS with no extension.

Sorry about that, Bryan. It's usually late in the evening when I have a chance to look at this. Let me know if this is the right one:
Download components (2).zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

Re: Unable to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Please do the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Hi Bryan,
Unfortunately I haven't had time to run the script or do much else for addressing this issue. I will need some time as my studies don't leave much time for anything else. Could we resume addressing this problem in a few weeks? I will try running the script per these directions and can post in the thread again when I've tried it.
