[SOLVED] [Win7SP1 x64] Error 80073712 on many MS Updates KB 4019264 3110329 (18 in total)

No virus. As I said in the first post. I turned off MS updates as one of them a year or so ago caused a lot of grief for me and many other users. I decided to take the ms updates and after a few days and many updates I started seeing errors on some of the updates.

See attached CBS.log. Scan states found corrupt files and repaired and will take effect in the next reboot. Assume you want me to reboot?

Took longer than normal to boot ... still no internet. (just to recap I lost internet after post#30)

Understood. We'll get it resolved. Please do the following.

FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Download attached file and save it to the USB.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the USB drive).
2. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
4. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the USB (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Device manager .... "NetIO Legacy TDI Support Driver" is code 24 ... Not present, not working or does not have all its drivers installed. Errors in System event logs point at this ... i.e. DHCP and DNS clients.

Guess you probably suspect this anyways and looking forward to further assistance. I don't really want to reinstall Windows 7.

Continued thanks ....

Sorry I didn't get your previous email until now. But yes that's exactly what I suspect and what we are trying to resolve. In Device Manager can you right-click on the NetIO Legacy TDI Support Driver and click uninstall?

Reran FFS and see something not in the previous FFS log.

Checking LEGACY_tdx: ATTENTION!=====> Unable to open LEGACY_tdx\0000 registry key. The key does not exist.

1.reg was accepted but on 2.reg ... windows output dialog box .... Cannot import .... error accessing the registry

In my registry there is no key name = "LEGACY_TDX" in the path defined by 2.reg. Unsure if this causes the error?

If I try to create a key under root it tells me that I do not have requisite permission to create a new key under root.
