Still no go Joe. Here's the latest CBS. Same drill, different file again.

Just out of curiousity, how do you go about finding the registry values you've been giving me? I'm not finding any way to cross reference it, at least not the CanonicalData portions. Curious as to the method for getting those entries.

It's not easy at all. If I don't have the key in one of my own VMs, I need to identify the update that this component is in and then install it on one of my VMs to create they keys. Tedious. Let's take a different approach. Please do the following.

Install Update with DISM

  1. Download this update and save to your desktop. The file name will be Windows6.1-KB3123862-x64.cab.zip.
  2. Right-click on this file and select Extract All... Keep the defaults and click the Extract button. You can close the folder window that opens.
  3. Right-click your Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin). If a user account control prompt comes up, please allow.
  4. Copy and paste the following command into the command prompt window and press enter.

    dism /online /add-package /packagepath:%userprofile%\desktop\Windows6.1-KB3123862-x64.cab\Windows6.1-KB3123862-x64.cab
  5. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
Restart Windows to complete this operation. <---You may not get this line.
Do you want to restart the computer now (Y/N)? <---You may not get this line.

Go ahead and do so if prompted. Let me know what errors if any come up.

Well, from one tech to another, I know exactly what you mean and I appreciate it.

That said, I went through the manual install above and still got an error. I've attached the dism/cbs logs, it appears it has something to do with one of the packages of the update.
