[SOLVED] [Win7SP1Pro x64] WU corrupt/broken. Surt tdcc 10.

Just a general note: There is a hacktool on this machine to use Windows or Office illegal which is not good.

Follow the instructions below please to fix corruptions on your hard-disc and remove outdated programs.

Step 1:
Click on Start - All Programs - Accessories.
Right-click on Command-prompt and select Run as administrator.
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter afterwards.

Code:
chkdsk c: /f /r
At the question "Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)", press Y.
Restart the system.

Do not press any key during the restart. This will allow CHKDSK to start.
Wait for this to complete. Please note that this may take several hours. Let it run even if it looks like the process has stopped!
On completion, the system will restart automatically.

Step 2:
Uninstall following outdated programs, which might have a security risk.

  • Java 7 Update 75
  • Java 8 Update 31
  • Java SE Development Kit 7 Update 75
  • Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 31

Ran Chkdsk and rebooted.

Removed both Java 8.31 installations

Attempted to remove 7.75, but it hung while gathering info and I left it. It hung and I rebooted it in the morning (it ran a chkdsk automatically at reboot).

I am going to keep 7.75 for now - It is the last version of Java that works with an Eclipse Luna development environment I haven't yet migrated. I will remove it after migration.

What, if anything, should I do about the hacktool?

All right.

Do you want it to be removed ?

Check Windows Update again and report the result.

There are no more updates available for this computer.

Notice: There was an update failure. Does that matter?

Also, still can not create a Restore point. Same error as above

I don't think so because the update 2017-10 along with the others are installed successfully.
