[SOLVED] Window 7 Ultimate Can't Do Microsoft Updates. Help!

PeterJ,

OK. That is what I will do. Since Windows 7 is no longer supported I don't imagine I will be seeing many updates anyway. Seems like you have solved all my update issues. So I imagine it is time to mark this as solved.

I have said before that I think this is a fantastic forum. And I also think you did a fantastic job. I went through the first tutorial on the Update forum and found it very interesting. It gave me a tremendous appreciation for the forum work you do. You are clearly patient, persistent, and knowledgeable. I am glad to have benefited from your expertise and from the existence of Sysnative. That is why I became a contributor a few days ago. I gave what I could, but I think what I gained was worth 10 times my contribution.

I do have another issue that plagues me. Sometimes when my Internet connection goes down I get a "Microsoft cabinet stopped working" message, but I believe that is something I should raise as a new issue in one of the other forums. So again, thank you very much. BTW how do I go about giving you a reaction score? I see others have done it, but I don't see a place to do it.

Regards,

Rod

Okay.
Follow the instructions below to cleanup the tools and logfiles used in this thread.
Rename the file FRST64.exe to uninstall.exe and run it. This will remove all files and folders created by FRST and the tool itself.
Reboot The machine to complete.
You may remove all other tools and log files.

Take care.
