[SOLVED] Windows 7 32 system restore not working sfc and Sur ok

Ran fixlist from number 54 log attached earlier as I thought you may want me to run the fixlist again, Listdskcheckresult still does not seem to run.

Indeed. It now completed successfully.

Listdskcheckresult still does not seem to run.
Please provide a screenshot of the error message.
In which folder did you put the file ListChkdskResult.exe ?
 
ran chklistresult again initial error message attached and then log message appeared. Chkdsk still will not run correctly from windows and still no system restore points

  1. Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  2. Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
    Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  3. Press the Fix button.
  4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Attach the logfile Fixlog.txt to your next reply.

There is a problem with another registry key.
Follow the instructions below. If anything is unclear, just ask first.

Click Start typ regedit in the searchbox and press enter.
Allow the program to run.
"Registry-editor" will open. On the leftside browse to the key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}\InprocServer32

Rightclick on it and select Permissions.
A new window opens, click the button Advanced.
A new window opens, select tab Owner.
Put a checkmark at Replace owner on subcontainers and objects
Select Administrators (...) then click Apply and OK.
In the list "Group or user names" select Administrators (...).
Next, put a checkmark to allow "Full Control" and click OK.
Rightclick the registry-key again and select Add - String Value.
If you see a new key added in the right pane, name it ThreadingModel
Were you able to add this key ?

Step 2:
Try to run the tool ListChkdskResult.exe again and report the result.

Ran new fixlist txt and log attached ran Listchkdskresult and that appeared to run ok with log attached. Tried running chkdsk from windows say this disk is NTFS and no further text you can see hard drive initially running but then stops

Restart the computer.
Check Windows Update but do not install any updates yet. Provide a screenshot of the available important updates first.
If Windows Update fails, copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop.
Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.
 
There are no updates available last updates were installed approx 12th December I can attach cbs log if you need it
 
cbs log attached , I have retried system restore and chkdsk in windows , neither still function correctly. They appear to start and then stop.

Get DiskPart Info
  • Click on Start - All programs - Accessories.
  • Rightclick on Command-prompt and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, typ diskpart into it, then press enter.
  • Wait for this to complete.
  • Typ list volume and press enter.
  • Wait for this to complete.
  • Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window and attach it to your next reply.

When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter afterwards.

chkdsk c: /f
At the question "Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)", press Y.
Restart the system.

Do not press any key during the restart. This will allow CHKDSK to start.
Wait for this to complete. Please note that this may take several hours. Let it run even if it looks like the process has stopped!
On completion, the system will restart automatically.
 
Great. The following might take several hours to complete. You can do it overnight if you like.

Click on Start - All Programs - Accessories.
