[SOLVED] Windows 7 32 system restore not working sfc and Sur ok

That is not normal.

Step 1:
Click the Start button and then type cmd in the search box. Right-click on cmd that comes up in the search results and select Run as administrator.
A User Account Control dialog may come up asking for approval. If it does go ahead and allow.
A command prompt window will open. Copy and paste the following into the command-prompt and hit enter.
vssadmin list writers > "%USERPROFILE%\desktop\writers.txt"
After the command runs there will be a file on your desktop named writers.txt.
Attach this file to your next reply.

Step 2:

Step 1:
ChkDsk Scan
  • Click on Start - All programs - Accessories.
  • Rightclick on Command-prompt and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, typ chkdsk into it, then press enter.
  • Wait for this to complete.
  • Download ListChkdskResult.exe by SleepyDude and save it on your desktop.
  • Rightclick

    ListChkdskResult.exe and select Run as administrator. Notepad will open the file ListChkdskResult.txt on completion. (The file ListChkdskResult.txt can be found on your desktop.)
  • Copy and paste its content in your next reply.

Step 2:
FRST Scan
  1. Right-click the file FRST.EXE to run the tool as administrator.
  2. Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  3. Press the Scan button.
  4. Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  5. Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.
 
Tried to run Chkdsk and only shows disk is NTFS tried listchkdskresult and that failed Image attached . Ran Frst Frst .txt attached ,would not produce Addition txt

Chkdsk runs if you shedule a check after a restart so am confused

It looks like you did not extract the zipfile first. Please do so, then start ListChkdskResult.exe from the Windows file explorer.

  4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Attach the logfile Fixlog.txt to your next reply.

Step 2:
Try to run the tool ListChkdskResult.exe again and report the result.

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply.

Registry permissions prevent the changes again.
Follow the instructions below. If anything is unclear, just ask first.

Click Start typ regedit in the searchbox and press enter.
Allow the program to run.
"Registry-editor" will open. On the leftside browse to the key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B54F3743-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}\InprocServer32

Rightclick on it and select Permissions.
A new window opens, click the button Advanced.
A new window opens, select tab Owner.
Put a checkmark at Replace owner on subcontainers and objects
Select Administrators (...) then click Apply and OK.
In the list "Group or user names" select Administrators (...).
Next, put a checkmark to allow "Full Control" and click OK.
Rightclick the registry-key again and select Add - String Value.
If you see a new key added in the right pane, name it ThreadingModel
