2. Right-click on FRST64.exe and select "Run as administrator".
3. Press the Fix button.

5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
7. Attach the logfile Fixlog.txt to your next reply.

Step 2:
Start the tool ComponentsScanner again and report the result.

I don't know if this information is relevant, in 2021, when I installed this Windows, that delay to look for updates was common. I participated in an old forum about windows, and at the time there was a tutorial on "how to speed up Windows updates", the tutorial had only 3 steps, which was to download these 3 updates:

- KB3020369
- KB3125574 (Windows 7 SP1 Convenience Rollup 2016)
- KB3172605

After that, windows update installed several updates at once, continuing to look for and install updates.

I doubt. Looks those are regular Windows Updates.

Get DiskPart Info

• Click on Start - All programs - Accessories.
• Rightclick on Command-prompt and select Run as administrator.
• When command prompt opens, typ diskpart into it, then press enter.
• Wait for this to complete.
• Typ list volume and press enter.
• Wait for this to complete.
• Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window. Read this on how to take a screenshot.
• Upload the image file to a file-sharing site such as Filedropper or imgur.com and post the downloadlink.

Click the Start button and then type cmd in the searchbox. Right-click on cmd that comes up in the search results and select Run as administrator.
A User Account Control dialog may come up asking for approval. If it does go ahead and allow.
A command prompt window will open. Copy and paste the following into the command-prompt and hit enter.
dir C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download /s > "%USERPROFILE%\desktop\dirlist.txt"
After the command runs there will be a file on your desktop named dirlist.txt.

Sorry for the delay, I've been a little busy these days.

Well, you can close the topic as solved.

Because you already solved this topic in post #32:

''KB4539601 is listed, so KB4534310 is not really needed."

Let me explain better,

I was at /support.microsoft reading about KB4534310 and looked at the updates timeline in the left pane.

KB4534310 is in Category/Version: "Monthly Rollup".

The system did not have "Monthly Rollup" updates installed/listed released prior to the release of KB4539601 (monthly rollup view). I uninstalled KB4539601, restarted the computer and Windows update offered KB4534310.

To be a little more sure, I created a new test partition,

I did a clean install of Windows 7, installed only the video driver, internet and Windows Update Client (KB3065987) and left the computer looking for updates. After about 50-60 minutes it came back with: 162 important + 6 optional updates. Stayed all night installing....

The next day, KB4534310 was installed and I restarted the computer.
Windows Update offered KB4539601 as an option, I installed it and rebooted. And then KB4534310 is gone, no longer listed.

As a last test, I uninstalled KB4539601 and restarted Windows.

The Windows update offered KB4534310, but I didn't install it... I went to the Microsoft catalog and downloaded an update prior to KB4534310, "KB4512506 Monthly Rollup".

KB4512506 installed and listed.

I installed KB4534310 again, after system reboot, KB4512506 disappeared....

Well, I don't have enough knowledge to determine if this is indeed the case, but apparently these Monthly Rollup and Monthly Rollup Preview updates uninstall and replace the older ones.

If anyone is having trouble getting a "Monthly Rollup" update as >listed<, maybe something similar is happening, or not...
