[SOLVED] Windows 7 Home not updating

Thanks for your donation but we're not finished yet. Do not install any updates.
Please provide the 2 log files as requested in my previous message.
will do so momentarily. just assumed that it was an old message with your acknowledgement

The 2 log files cannot be downloaded. Please upload them again or use another file-sharing website.

Yes, I could download them. Here's the next partly fix.

Step 1:
Warning: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Do not run this script on another machine.
  1. Download the file fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  2. Right-click on FRST64.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  3. Press the Fix button.
  4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt. Please be patience.
  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2:
Start the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again.
On completion, attach the logfile C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log in your next reply.

I have not forgotten you, but FARBAR has been running since 8:45 a.m. (8 hours), and last wrote to the log at 4:43

We don't have to hurry. 8 hours is much longer than expected for FRST to process that fixlist. Best to let FRST work on the fix and don't use the computer for other things if possible.
Please report back if FRST has not finished in 24 hours.

It finished around 5 pm, and SURT is processing now
So FRST ran also 15 minutes instead of the 8 hours you mention in message #26 ?

Are we making any meaningful progress
Well, sort of. It looks like you've ran the fixlist.txt of message #18 again instead of message #25.
Please follow the instructions in message #25 carefully, download it's attachment and use that as the fixlist.txt in FRST.

Well done. The next partly fix:

Odd as it may be, though attached here fixlist.txt is not attached to the email. That is why I sued the wrong fixlist.txt last time.

I do not know how to download what appears only here.
