Windows Insider Preview Build 19018 Released to the Fast Ring: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19018 | Windows Experience Blog.

Note:

Starting today, Windows Insiders who have opted into Skip Ahead are being migrated back into the Fast ring. This means that Skip Ahead will no longer be reflected under Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program. Going forward, we will not be offering Skip Ahead as an option for Insiders to sign-up for. Our goal is to provide everyone in the Fast ring the freshest builds at the same time.

In addition to changes, improvements, and fixes, see the blog post for the additions to quick web searches to your Search Home and changes in the design for web preview in search results.

In addition to issues resolved, fixes, etc. note:

We’re continuing to look at ways we can improve the update experience on Windows 10 PCs for our customers. As part of this effort, we are conducting an experiment related to how we deliver driver updates through Windows Update. During this experiment, drivers categorized as “optional” will not be automatically downloaded and installed on Windows Insider’s PCs running 20H1 Build 18980 and newer. To install any new optional drivers available for a PC that’s involved in this experiment (including drivers for new devices that might get plugged in to a PC), Insiders can go to Settings > Windows Update > Optional Updates and manually download these drivers. This experiment will be running now through November 25th, 2019.

Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19033 (20H1) released to BOTH the Fast and Slow ring: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19033 | Windows Experience Blog.

NOTE: We are looking to begin releasing new builds from our development branch. This means we will be releasing builds to Insiders in the Fast ring from the RS_PRERELEASE development branch again instead of the VB_RELEASE branch. This also means the desktop watermark will be returning with these builds. As is normal with pre-release builds, these builds may contain bugs and be less stable. Now is the time to check your Windows Insider Settings and switch to the Slow ring before if you wish to remain on 20H1.

For Insiders in the Fast ring who have selected to stop getting Insider Preview builds when the next major release of Windows 10 is available under Windows Insider Settings, we will be moving you to the Slow ring as part of honoring this setting. You will remain here until 20H1 is finalized. This only applies to Insiders in the Fast ring who selected this.

See the blog post for the changes, improvements, and fixes.

Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19035 (20H1) Released to BOTH the Fast ring and Slow ring. Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19035 | Windows Experience Blog.

NOTE: We are looking to begin releasing new builds from our development branch *very soon*.

Windows Insider Build 19551 Released to Fast Ring: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19551 | Windows Experience Blog.

We’re continuing to look at ways we can improve the update experience on Windows 10 PCs for our customers. As part of this effort, we are conducting an experiment related to how we deliver driver updates through Windows Update. During this experiment, drivers categorized as “optional” will not be automatically downloaded and installed on Windows Insider’s PCs running Build 19536 and newer. To install any new optional drivers available for a PC that’s involved in this experiment (including drivers for new devices that might get plugged in to a PC), Insiders can go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View optional updates and manually download these drivers. This experiment will be running now through March 5th, 2020.

Fixes:
  • We fixed an issue resulting in snipping not working on secondary monitors.
  • Thank you for reporting that the Optimize Drives Control Panel was incorrectly showing that optimization hadn’t run on some devices. We’ve fixed it in this build.
  • We’ve fixed an issue causing Remote Desktop Connection crashes when attempting to connect to multiple sessions.
  • We’ve made a server-side fix to address the issue causing Narrator Home to crash when selecting the “What’s New” button in Narrator Home.
  • We fixed an issue that could result in the language defaults listed at the top of Language Settings unexpectedly being blank.
  • We’ve done some work to help address feedback reports that screenshots (WIN+Shift+S) pasted into Outlook would be unexpectedly large.
  • We fixed an issue where, if you’d changed the candidate pane font for the Pinyin IME, it would be reset back to default after you reboot your PC.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon in the notification area sometimes unexpectedly drawing in white (making it unreadable) when using light theme
