Alright, I suggest you to use the Media Creation Tool instead. Download the right version for your computer from the link below and select the "Upgrade now" option. If it fails, upload the following files for me to review. Make sure to unplug every single USB peripheral/devices on your computer except for your keyboard and mouse.

Did you ever have Symantec/Norton products installed on that computer?

yes i did. the company i used to work for uninstalled them when i left the company

It looks like it left remnants on your system. There's a clean-up tool for it but you need to have an active account on Symantec's website.

Take a look in C:\Program Files (x86), Program Files and ProgramData to see if you can find folders called Symantec or Norton.

Delete it all, yes. Once done, try to upgrade to Windows 10 again and let me know if it still says that you have Symantec product installed or not.

So you can see it installed in your programs, right? Yet it didn't show up in the MiniToolBox log. I'll be honest with you, if that Antivirus was installed by a company you worked for and they didn't uninstall it properly, we'll either have a rought time removing it completely without damaging your system, or we won't be able to.

well i got a hold of symantic. they gave me the clean wipe software to remove it. it didnt work. then i did i few things (dont remember what it was) then windows 10 started installing. it is now installed. ive checked for more updates and it says its up to date now. but now my mouse pad (touch pad) isnt working. i can only navigate via the touch screen. 1 problem solved and another begins. hahaha
