[SOLVED] Windows Server 2022 can't install RemoteAccess

Ah that file seems to be corrupted, are you able to delete it manually?

Due to permission reasons, this file can not be delete by myself.
I use CMD run as administrator " del /f " to delete it.
But it still access denied.

I don't have any way to delete it manually.

I already deleted it.
It can not be find on C:\Windows\WinSxS\

But it has other issue, see as attachment.

when I meet the error, I return to previous page and do again then it can be install.
but it still install failure.
Then I restarted the device and RRAS still did not install.

I think the original error and situation still the same.
RRAS still can not install.

Due to the error still exists and I need startup the all system.
So I use the the same method on RTIS51.
let RTIS52 out of Domain and install RRAS again
The installation is successful and check the routing function is ok.
Then add RTIS51 to Domain.
And I already check all DCS system function.
Every thing is normal !


But I'm still curious what the actual problem is?

Hi,

I see two different issues, the message in post #43 shows a version mismatch, and may have to do with this server which is not up-to-date. The other error is still the same, have you checked the presence of the C:\Windows\WinSxS\Pending.xml file on the selected server?

Yes, I have confirmed that there is no such file C:\Windows\WinSxS\Pending.xml

Very strange, but the Remote Access feaure is now working correctly on both servers?

You're welcome. I would also suggest to update both servers even when they are not connected to the internet..
