When you 'keep personal files and apps'... are ALL my windows settings, app settings, data, desktop layout, etc. preserved?

Hi,

The user data, user accounts, installed programs, and important settings will be preserved. All other preinstalled (system) settings are restored to their factory state with an repair install.

They will be preserved, but I always recommend making a backup, just to be sure.

I hope I'm not imagining this.. but wow I think the problem resolved itself? Some big update came along and I kept installing it and then eventually it somehow ended up installing KB5013943...
